Live Music for Yoga

Check out Nathan's music on Spotify , iTunes, CD Baby, and Pandora.

See below for info about Nathan's new CD "Vinyasa"!

"Nathan has a unique ability to connect with the intention of the moment and support the experience of the group with his addition of sound and vibrations. From the flow of waterfalls and babbling brooks, to the smooth tones of a flute, from the vibratory ring of a gong, to the sweet finger-strumming of guitar, or the beat of the drum, Nathan’s collaboration of music with yoga is a joy to the senses."

-Nancy Ruby, Founder/President of YogaMotion® School for Well Being

Nathan has been practicing yoga for the last 18 years, and finds a natural ease in working as a musical accompanist for yoga and other movement. He brings a nuanced sensitivity in following the direction that a teacher is taking a class, and an ability to create organic, dynamic, multi-layered soundscapes over extended periods of time. Click on the tracks below to hear samples on Nathan's playing.

Nathan has provided live music for yoga classes in a variety of styles including Vinyasa flow, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Yoga Nidra, and Chakra Yoga, with teachers that include Nancy Ruby of Yoga Motion, Ashtanga teacher/musician David Garrigue, Inner Harmony Yoga owner Brian Baty, Harmony Yoga teacher trainer Alison Rubin, and many others throughout the northwest.

Testimonials

"Nathan brings intuitive creativity and harmonious melodies to a variety of rhythms and moods as he simultaneously and spontaneously plays his kaleidoscope of musical instruments. I have had the pleasure of facilitating together many days of dance and movement and breathing and meditation with Nathan’s energetic enthusiasm. He has a unique ability to connect with the intention of the moment and support the experience with his addition of sound and vibrations. From the flow of waterfalls and babbling brooks, to the smooth tones of a flute, from the vibratory ring of a gong, to the sweet finger-strumming of guitar, or the beat of the drum, Nathan’s collaboration of music is a joy to the senses.

"Nathan has offered his music at several workshops that I have attended and hosted over the last few years. His music is a lovely addition to a yoga class. He follows the instructor in a way that creates a beautiful flow, movement and music. It is soothing, fun, and enjoyable to have Nathan's presence and his music be a part of the yoga experience. I highly recommend him!"
